We welcome the month of March with open arms! When in our line of business, we don’t necessarily care for the cold weather! After all, it is so very good for our little ones to go outdoors and get the fresh air that they need. Children thrive when given the opportunity during the day to experience spontaneous play. This type of play is important so that little ones can use their creative potential and safely explore all the wonders of nature around them. In today’s society, children are given so very many opportunities for technological advancement. Three year old children not only know how to work a mouse but can click, drop and drag better than most adults! Whatever happened to the days when we played “Hide and Go Seek”, “Red Rover” and “Dodge Ball” until the sun went down? The days when we rode bikes without a helmet and could actually go outdoors without sunscreen? Those days are, of course, long gone. The good news is that we have become much more aware of the safety and well being of our children. Therefore, sunscreen and safety equipment are now  the norm! It is very important for all children to be given daily opportunities for outdoor play so please send them with the appropriate (and labeled!) outdoor wear. It is truly amazing what a good dose of fresh air and exercise can do no matter how old you are! Please see the article below regarding our outdoor Spring carnival on April 10th. March 9th– PAL meeting @7pm.

March 17th-St. Patrick’s Day! Don’t forget to wear green!

March 19th-Double Dave’s Family Dinner Night from 5-8pm!

March 25th– APK Open House! 7pm-8:15pm

March 26th– Parent’s Night Out! We are her until 11pm (It`s p.j. day too!)
